In the Aug. 21 issue I saw the article on the “Garden Game.”
My “garden” is a bit unusual—it was not planted as such. Last fall I tossed some old gourds over the side of our driveway where we deposit grass clippings, old house plants, etc.—a form of unplanned composting, I guess.
Now I have a vast number of squash plants covering that side of the driveway. I am not entering the contest, but I thought the story interesting.
Paul Willard, Still River, surely grows wonderful veggies, because I purchased these gourds from his stand last year.
