We were confused by Fred Hinchliffe’s recent letter to the Harvard Press [Oct. 16] about the prospect of making Still River into a historical district. First, it seemed that he was representing the group of Still River residents who attended the recent meeting of the Historical Commission, but there were no other signatures but his own at the bottom of his letter. Second, one could receive the impression from his letter that Mr. Hinchliffe was representing other Still River residents—maybe even a majority of us—when he referred to “busy-body, neighborhood-nazis and control freaks running our affairs.” For the record, Mr. Hinchliffe does not represent us.
