Tuesday, October 19
The ambulance transported one person to Nashoba Valley Medical Center from the Bromfield School at 9:01 a.m. Firefighters responded to the report of a chimney fire at a home on Eldridge Road at 9:29 p.m. and extinguished the blaze, which remained confined to the chimney.
Wednesday, October 20
A caller at the St. Benedict Center reported concerns that a young woman who recently arrived at St. Ann’s House was acting suspiciously. Police went and spoke to the woman, who they determined was not a threat. A Bolton Road resident called to report that the door of a neighbor’s house was open, and expressed concern that it may have been burglarized. Police did not find any sign of a break-in and said it appeared that the homeowner had forgotten to close the door. The ambulance took a woman to Nashoba Valley Medical Center from an Ayer Road residence at 4:27 p.m. At 5:47 p.m. someone at St. Ann’s House called to say that the young woman who had been the subject of concern earlier in the day was acting strangely. Police responded and transported the woman to Emerson Hospital for a psychiatric evaluation.
Thursday, October 21
A Woodside Road resident called at 8:46 a.m. to complain that machines doing work at a neighbor’s home were making too much noise and shaking his house. Police spoke with the resident at his home and restored the peace.
Friday, October 22
At 7:28 a.m. a caller reported finding a dead dog on Scott Road. Police said that the dog, which had no collar, did not appear to have been hit by a car and appeared malnourished. The ambulance took a woman to Nashoba Valley Medical Center from a West Bare Hill Road residence at 9:09 a.m. At 10:08 a.m. police responded to a call from Littleton police to assist in the search for a car whose driver was involved in an assault in Littleton. The vehicle was not located. At 10:10 a.m. someone stopped at the station to speak with an officer about possible drug use on school grounds.
Saturday, October 23
At 4:50 p.m. a fire officer responded to an alarm at the old library that was determined to have been set off by a magic show at a party being held there. Fire officials were called back to the old library at 5:43 p.m. when a cotton candy machine set off the fire alarm.
Sunday, October 24
A fire officer responded to the report of a carbon monoxide alarm at an Ayer Road residence at 2:36 p.m. and determined that there was no CO leak.
Monday, October 25
At 9 a.m. a caller reported that someone had spray-painted graffiti on Tahanto Trail. The Department of Public Works was notified and covered the markings; police checked other roads in the area for more graffiti, but found none. A business owner on Prospect Hill Road reported at 11:56 a.m. that someone had stolen one of his orchard signs. At 6:53 p.m. a caller reported that a white van was parked next to a building on Littleton County Road and that someone was loading things into it. Police found that the person in question was the building owner.
