Tuesday, January 18
At 6:42 a.m. a motorist called the station to report that her car had just slid across a very icy Littleton Road, near Shaker Road, into a guardrail. There was no damage to the guardrail and only minor damage to her car. At 12:23 p.m. police investigated the theft of a truck and plow from the Gokey & Quinn parking lot. The case is under investigation. The ambulance transported a man to Nashoba Valley Medical Center from a Littleton Road residence at 7:07 p.m.
Wednesday, January 19
At 7:01 a.m. a Department of Public Works snow plow traveling down Bolton Road slid off the road into a utility pole at the intersection with Mass. Ave. The plow was heavily damaged; Verizon was notified to replace the pole. At 9:20 a.m. a caller reported a possible car accident on Ayer Road. Police found no accident there. At 10:55 a.m. a woman stopped at the station seeking legal advice. The ambulance transported one person to Nashoba Valley Medical Center from a doctor’s office on Ayer Road at 11:13 a.m. At 5:08 p.m. a Still River Road resident asked to speak to an officer about snowmobiles.
Thursday, January 20
At 2:30 p.m. a caller reported that a truck was parked on a hill in a dangerous area on Tahanto Trail. Police contacted the owner and asked him to move the truck.
Friday, January. 21
At 3:11 a.m. Ayer police asked for assistance from Harvard officers in responding to a break-in at a gas station in Ayer. A Hillcrest Drive resident called at 9:43 a.m. to report that carbon monoxide alarms in her house were sounding. A fire officer checked the home and determined that all was OK. Boxborough police called at 10:49 a.m. to report a car off the road at Stow and Codman Hill roads. Police called a tow truck to winch the car back onto the road. At 8:47 p.m. a Bolton Road resident reported hearing a gunshot. The area was checked; nothing was found.
Saturday, January 22
At 2 p.m. a Bolton Road resident reported that his mailbox had been vandalized. At 7:25 p.m. the Stow Fire Department requested assistance from Harvard’s Fire Department at a structure fire in Stow.
Sunday, January 23
An officer conducting a random license plate check stopped a car on Ayer Road at 12:52 p.m. and issued a summons to the driver, whose license had expired, for operating without a license. Police notified the animal control officer about a dead deer in the roadway on Bolton Road at 7:45 p.m.
Monday, January 24
Fire officers responded to a fire alarm activation on Lancaster County Road at 7 a.m. and determined that the alarm was accidentally set off by workers at the home.
