The United States Marine Corps Toys for Tots program and the Massachusetts State Police would like to thank the citizens of Massachusetts for their generous donations to Toys for Tots. The despicable theft that occurred at the Essex and Middlesex Toys for Tots program storage container on Dec. 19 had a direct impact on the program’s toy distribution. However, thanks to the media, volunteers, and the generous contributions from the community, Toys for Tots was able to start filling orders immediately. Without the community support, Toys for Tots would not have been able to supply all the needs of the children in our area this year. The overwhelming response has taken our breath away, and, honestly, there are no words to describe how humbly grateful we are.
