I am writing to endorse Don Graham for selectman. He has lived in Harvard for only a short time but has become very involved in the community. He is a Boy Scout leader and in that capacity has a window into the school system by way of its students.
With his business degree and experience, Don can confidently take part in addressing the financial issues facing the town. Now that the variance issue for the Town Hall is resolved, he can help the BOS proceed forward with overseeing the renovation, making sure that the renovations are completed on time and within budget.
The other “elephant in the room,” the OPEB liability, will require BOS members to collaborate with other town boards. His project management experience managing complex initiatives within team environments will serve him well and serve as a model to other boards.
Don has the experience of working with Harvard’s youth, the experience of working in business environments and the management experience to lead groups to consensus. He will make one very able selectman.
