I love what the Council on Aging does. Shock was my reaction to learning that the COA’s impressive plans to improve Hildreth House access for the elderly were on hold.
For 59 years we begged for higher taxes to elevate our town’s public education. It worked!
My shock is lessened by hearing that compromises may be worked out before Town Meeting and I may gladly say that I will pay higher taxes to continue the excellent work by all workers and visitors who come to the COA’s Hildreth House. I trust that others will write or speak up.
