I’m writing in response to the recent article about the Harvard Police Department’s recent visit to Bromfield to speak with the students. Although the gist of the article seems to be accurate, I personally, as well as many of my classmates, would like to point out that the survey in fact did not reference whether or not “it was ‘OK’ to make sexual comments to or about someone.” The survey asked whether or not you felt comfortable with someone else making sexual comments about you. Although along the same lines, we feel there is a very distinctive difference between the two. We believe that if the question had been worded similar to how you reported it, the percentages would have been very different. My classmates and I would appreciate this being corrected to prevent inaccurate perceptions of the male student body.
Thank you very much.
