Woodside Road resident Katelyn Bigelow has been named to the Gettysburg College dean’s list for the fall 2010 semester. Students with a quality-point average of 3.60 are placed on the college’s dean’s honor list.
Jennifer Duckett, of Simon Atherton Row, has earned first academic honors on the dean’s list of Clark University in Worcester for the fall 2010 semester. To be eligible for first honors, students must have a grade-point average of 3.8 or higher.
Worcester Polytechnic Institute has announced that Keeon Tabrizi of Brown Road and Brent Duoba of Littleton Road were named to the dean’s list for the fall 2010 semester. WPI defines the dean’s list by the amount of work completed at the “A” level in courses and projects. Tabrizi is a WPI senior majoring in biomedical engineering; Duoba is a junior, also majoring in biomedical engineering.
Esmay Freihofer, daughter of Dave and Nancy Freihofer of Shaker Road, was named to the dean’s list at UMass-Amherst for the 2010 fall term. Freihofer is a junior with a double major in communication disorders and Portuguese language. To be placed on the dean’s list at UMass, an undergraduate student must have had full-time status and attained a minimum grade-point average of 3.5, based on at least 12 graded credits. According to the school, only about 20 percent of eligible students meet these criteria.
East Bare Hill Road resident Robert Hazel has been named to the fall 2010 dean’s list at Roger Williams University. Full-time students who complete 12 or more credits per semester and earn a grade-point average of 3.4 or higher for completed coursework are placed on the dean’s list.
