Leeming joins Concord Women’s Chorus

Susan Leeming will sing with the Concord Women’s Chorus, a 60-voice auditioned ensemble, when it performs Benjamin Britten’s “A Ceremony of Carols” Saturday, Dec. 20, at 3 p.m. at First Parish Church, 20 Lexington Road, Concord. A reception will follow the concert. The program also includes John Rutter’s companion piece, “Dancing Day,” and Michele Weir’s “Three Jazz Carols.” Professional soloists for the program are Adriana Repetto, soprano; Thea Lobo, mezzo-soprano; and Judy Saiki, harp. Boston pianist and international recitalist Scott Nicholas will accompany the chorus. Special guests will be the Concord-Carlisle High School Women’s Chorus.

The Concord Women’s Chorus is dedicated to keeping music written for women’s voices alive on the concert stage; it draws from 21 surrounding communities, including Harvard. For tickets, go to www.concordwomenschorus.org.
