The Harvard Lions Club will host the Bare Hill Triathlon Sunday, June 26, beginning at 8 a.m. at the Harvard Public Library. The event includes a half-mile swim, 10.5-mile bike ride, and 3.2-mile run. Staging and transition areas and finish line will be on the library grounds.
This “sprint” triathlon is open to individuals and relay teams, with no prior experience required. Those who might like to participate but are unsure of completing the entire triathlon are encouraged to assemble a two- or three-person relay team where each member does just one or two legs of the race. Individual registration is $70, teams $80. Because this is an official USA Triathlon-sanctioned event, there is also a $12 USAT fee for all entrants. Participants receive a “2015 Bare Hill Triathlon” T-shirt, and medals and prizes will be awarded. For registration and information, go to www.barehilltriathlon.com.
