Last week, The Harvard Press made it abundantly clear how little it cares about the town’s elementary school. Fifty-one students in grades 2 through 5—nearly the equivalent of the entire second grade—worked for over two months to present the semester’s largest event at the school: a two-cast production of “The Aristocats.” And the Press saw fit to devote just one half-page to it. Despite having been informed twice that the production had two casts, it published photos of only one cast. The Press spent the same amount of space on a turkey dinner at the Council on Aging, and nearly twice the amount of space on a movie review. And it routinely uses two full pages per week to cover Bromfield sports. I guess we know where the elementary school ranks in this town, huh?
