Congratulations to the 87 members of the Bromfield Class of 2020, who in socially distanced outdoor ceremonies on Friday evening finally got the the send off they deserved. The occasion was marked by tradition and the peculiar constraints of the pandemic that has disrupted the graduation plans of every senior class in Massachusetts.
The Bromfield seniors of 2020 made lemonade from the lemons they were handed. And judging from Friday’s faculty and student speeches, they dealt with the dramatically altered circumstances of their final year of high school with realism, grace, and indomitable good nature. Yes, they missed many traditional activities they had looked forward to, but what they got instead was new and special to their year.
We wish them the very best and look forward to celebrating their milestones and accomplishments in the years to come.
