Bromfield’s girls lacrosse and tennis teams won their Central Mass. Athletic Directors Association (CMADA) district playoffs last week and advanced to the 2021 Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association sectional championships.

On Monday, however, the undefeated girls tennis players met their semifinals match against Whitinsville Christian, losing 3-2 to the team they had beaten 4-1 the previous week to win the CMADA Division 3 championship.

The undefeated girls lacrosse players, meantime, notched a 19-2 win over Chicopee Comprehensive that same afternoon and advanced to the MIAA Central/West semifinals. They were scheduled to play Wahconah Regional High School at home Wednesday at 5 p.m.

The boys track and field athletes placed third in last weekend’s MIAA Division 3 Central state qualifying meet while the girls placed 10th. Several athletes from both teams qualified for the all-state meet.


Girls Lacrosse (10-0, 16-0)

Boys Outdoor Track (3-3, 56-5)

  • 6/17-6/19 MIAA Central/West Division 2 sectional championship. Boys placed third among 41 teams.
