This year’s annual Harvard Flea Market was a tremendous success—thanks to the wonderful residents of Harvard whose continued support makes it all possible. We are truly grateful.
The Flea Market Committee members (and their families) have worked together for many years to help shape and sustain this beloved community event. We are especially thankful for our many volunteers, whose dedication is essential year after year. Our heartfelt thanks go to the field setup team, friendly admission gate volunteers, the Bromfield students who assist with tallying and recycling, and the Bromfield and Hildreth Elementary students who take on the final cleanup.
We also extend our appreciation to our always reliable public safety providers, the Bromfield School, and the Park and Recreation Department for their steadfast support.
Our vendors are simply the best, and our attendees consistently leave happy. One vendor shared, “The organization—from driving in early in the morning and being guided to our spot, to the smooth departure at the end of the day—was incredibly impressive.”
The Flea Market serves as the sole fundraiser for the Harvard League of Women Voters, now celebrating its 75th year. Proceeds from past markets have supported important local initiatives, including streamlining Town Meeting with the purchase of electronic Poll Pads and voting devices (clickers).
This year also marks the 36th year that the Harvard Schools Trust has provided academic enrichment opportunities for all Harvard Public School students.
We look forward to celebrating our 54th Flea Market next year—and to another wonderful day of community spirit, collaboration, and fun.
