I would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the Harvard community for showing up, making your voices heard, and voting in favor of Article 4 for the purchase of land for athletic fields. Your participation reflects the best of civic engagement—neighbors coming together to invest in resources which will benefit us for generations.
This decision is more than a land purchase. It is a commitment to the health, development, and well-being of our town. The new field will provide children with a safe place to learn and practice skills, give families space to gather and play, and offer adults opportunities to stay active and connected. In short, the fields will strengthen both bodies and community bonds.

Your collective engagement shows the power of coming together—not only to back this project, but to affirm the importance of shared spaces that strengthen Harvard as a vibrant, healthy, and connected community.
