My children, now in their 30s, had the privilege of learning to swim and work in the Harvard town beach program under the guidance of the famous Mrs. Brown.
This summer, I had the wonderful opportunity to watch my grandchildren participate in the same program. I have to say, it remains one of the most exceptional ways for children to learn to swim and enjoy their summer.
Hats off to Recreation Director Anne McWaters, and to an amazing group of young adults. They are smart, hardworking, competent, enthusiastic, and, most importantly, so much fun. It is wonderful to see such a dedicated group of young people creating such a positive experience for the children in our community.
Many thanks to Anne and her entire staff for providing my grandchildren with such a wonderful summer experience. The Harvard town beach program is truly something special, and I hope our community continues to support it for many years to come.
