Colin Cleary of Ann Lees Road performed in the musical “Cabaret” at Stoneham Theatre’s Summer Festival Aug. 18–20. The musical is set in 1931 Berlin as the Nazis are rising to power, and Colin plays the role of Ernst Ludwig, a rich German politician later revealed to be a Nazi. The cast and crew worked hard to tell this difficult and relevant story of the growing influence of racist ideas and Nazism. Cleary is a 2017 Bromfield graduate and will pursue a bachelor’s degree in theater at the University of Rhode Island this fall.
