It is a rare and felicitous event when one with expertise critical to the future of our town volunteers to serve on the Board of Selectmen. Such is the case with Kara Minar. Having chaired the Planning Board for many years, she has a firm grasp of the technical intricacies and the political exigencies of residential and commercial development, land conservation, and historic preservation. The town’s 2016 Master Plan and the recently adopted zoning bylaws governing the commercial district are but two examples. Most important, Kara understands that it is rigorous planning that ensures governing policy directly reflects our vision for Harvard. It’s with sincere admiration and gratitude for her service that I wholeheartedly endorse Kara’s candidacy.
