Bromfield Drama Presents ‘The Wizard of Oz’

The Bromfield Drama Society launches its 2016-17 season with the musical adventure, “The Wizard of Oz” at Cronin Auditorium Friday and Satuday, Dec. 2 and 3, at 7 p..m., and Sunday, Dec. 4, at 2 p.m.

Among the cast of more than 30 student actors is Caroline Hentz as Dorothy, Rocco Massoni as the Cowardly Lion, Laughlin Hentz as the Tin Woodman, Colin Cleary as the Scarecrow, Maggie Gill as Aunt Em and Glinda, the Good Witch of the North, AJ Doher as the Wizard of Oz, Phoebe Clark as the Wicked Witch of the West, and KeeSeok Lee as Uncle Henry and the Guard of Oz.

Martha Brooks is the production’s artistic director, Nick D’Amico provides musical direction, choreography is by Melissa Lynch, and costume design is by Beth Drummey. Jay Woolcock is assistant director and stage manager.
The production will feature special effects and video backdrops made possible by generous grants from the Harvard Schools Trust and the Harvard PTO for a new digital projection system. The system was designed and installed by Bromfield alum Jamie Jewett who is currently the director of a multi-media dance theater in Providence.
