Woodside Road resident and Harvard Press reporter Maren Caulfield will perform the role of Annelle in “Steel Magnolias,” presented on stage at Theatre III in Acton. Directed by Janet Tyndall, produced by Pam Furnace, and stage managed by G.P. Redmond, the play will be showing Friday and Saturday, Oct. 16, 17 and Oct. 23, 24, at 8 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 18 and 25, at 2 p.m. in West Acton, 250 Central Street. Written in 1987 by Robert Harling, who based the story on his experience surrounding his sister’s death, the play recounts the sometimes comedic, sometimes tragic camaraderie among a group of women in northwest Louisiana.
