It is time for a new face with over 30 years of experience in town government to join our Board of Selectmen. Ken Swanton is a former resident of Bolton who has chaired their School Committee, Planning Board, Conservation Trust, and Master Plan Committee. This has given him a well-balanced knowledge of town government. In addition, he is presently chairman of the Harvard Historical Commission.
As a citizen of Harvard for the past 55 years, I have served on numerous boards, committees, and departments. At this time, I am truly concerned of the tenor of our selectmen meetings and believe Ken can help bring consensus to the table.
I have talked with Bolton residents, and they all say he is a straight shooter always willing to work with people to reach an amicable decision. He strives to bring people together to get things done, and as we all know Harvard has plenty on its plate to accomplish.Harvard will benefit with his knowledge and demeanor.
