Press release submitted by River’s Edge Arts Alliance
After twenty-seven years of dedication to young singers, River’s Edge Youth Chorus founder Jan Patterson has decided to step down from her position as director. Jan has a long history with the youth chorus along with her role as founding director of the Arts Alliance from which she retired at the end of 2011. Her contributions to the community of Hudson and surrounding towns through the arts are substantial, helping to carve out a new creative landscape for the area. We’d like to thank Jan Patterson for all of her many contributions to the arts in our community and her talents will be missed.
The River’s Edge Arts Alliance is seeking an energetic, talented, and creative River’s Edge Youth Chorus Director to join our well-established youth chorus. This individual will lead the twenty seven year old River’s Edge Youth Chorus as both a director and teacher. The candidate must be a personable, well-organized, energetic and dedicated team member with a fresh and modern, yet approachable aesthetic, who has a knack for working with community youth of multiple vocal skill levels and has youth choral directing experience.
