Harvard walkers Kristen Barrett, Marcia Croyle, Karen Shea, Heidi Siegrist, Henley Siegrist, Beth Walker, Ann Whitney, and Erik Johnson, as well as former Harvard resident Sue Veno, will be participating in the Just ’Cause walk May 31 to June 2. This three-day, 60-mile walk through Harvard, Bolton, Acton, Concord, and Stow raises money for cancer research at the Gillette Center for Women’s Cancers at Mass. General Hospital, as well as for the Virginia Thurston Healing Garden in Harvard. The Healing Garden provides a healing environment with a range of complementary therapies, psychosocial support, educational programs, and access to nature for those who are experiencing or have experienced cancer. All therapies are integrated with and complementary to standard medical treatment for cancer.
