Local father and son’s artwork in exhibit

Geoffrey and Nikolaus Koetsch, of Stow Road, had their artwork selected for the Fitchburg Art Museum’s 77th Regional Exhibition of Art & Craft.

The exhibition was juried by Susan Stoops, interim chief curator and curator of contemporary art at the Worcester Art Museum; Dana Salvo, photographer and owner/director of the Clark Gallery; and Jamie Coyle, artist and president of Saighead Incorporated.

Nikolaus Koetsch, a member of the Bromfield Class of 2012, is attending Hampshire College. His photo “The Gatherer” was selected for the exhibit. Geoffrey Koetsch, professor in the fine arts at the Art Institute of Lesley University, had two sculptures selected for the exhibit, “The Married Couple” and “Rub-a-Dub-Dub.” “The Married Couple” received an honorable mention award. The exhibit is up until Sept. 2.
