Election day is fast approaching. For people who won’t be in Harvard on Dec. 8, when voters go to the polls for the Board of Selectmen’s race and the U.S. Senate primary contest, there are two easy ways to make sure your voice is heard.
People can vote in advance at Town Hall during normal business hours, right up until the day before the election. Town Hall is open Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Tuesday until 7 p.m.
People can also vote with an absentee ballot, which they can request by mail. Applications for absentee ballots can be obtained online or at Town Hall. Fill out an application (or fill one out for a family member) and have an absentee ballot sent anywhere, including a college campus. Just be sure the voted ballot is returned to Town Hall—by mail or in person—before Dec. 8.
