On Oct. 11, Cadettes from Harvard Girl Scout Troop 30715 hung a wooden sign designating the location of Millie’s Path, a town conservation trail that runs along Bowers Brook from Old Mill Road to Lancaster County Road. With the help of two of the scouts’ fathers, Mike Peters and Pete LeBlanc, the girls also put up eight colorfully decorated birdhouses on the trees along the trail. The event was supposed to have taken place in the spring but was rained out, as was an earlier date this fall.
This is the second year that the Girl Scouts have maintained Millie’s Path as a community service project. Michael Henry, who was behind the creation of the trail, was on hand with his wife, Nancy, to take pictures and express his appreciation for the girls’ dedication to this project.
