Harvard residents named to dean’s and president’s lists

Samantha Allen, daughter of Christopher and Cynthia Allen of Under Pin Hill Road, was named to the dean’s list at Ithaca College’s Roy H. Park School of Communications for the spring 2009 term, with a grade-point average of 3.7.

Max James Brissette of Stow Road was named to the dean’s list for the spring 2009 semester at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. A grade-point average of 3.25 with no grade lower than a C must be achieved for inclusion on the dean’s list. Brissette is majoring in Fine Arts.

Kira L. Broganer of Slough Road was named to the Marist College dean’s list for the spring 2009 semester. Broganer, a member of the Class of 2010, is majoring in communications and advertising.

Keelan Cosgrave of Myrick Lane has been named to the dean’s list at Champlain College for academic achievements during the spring 2009 semester. Cosgrave is majoring in software engineering. Students named to the dean’s list are full-time students with a semester grade-point average of 3.5 or higher.

Bolton Road resident Elizabeth Dunn has been named to the dean’s list at Drake University for the spring 2009 term.

Two Harvard residents have been named to the dean’s list and appointed to be Dana Scholars at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester. Kathryn Kennedy, daughter of Chris and Janice Kennedy of Myrick Lane, is a 2008 graduate of the Bromfield School. Lindsey Tonge, daughter of Tom and Carol Lee Tonge of White Lane, is a 2007 graduate of Bromfield, and was recently awarded the Sarah A. Watson Trust Scholarship as well.

Old Mill Road resident David G. Oliva has been named to the president’s list at Western New England College for the spring semester of 2009. Oliva is a senior majoring in sports management. Students are named to the president’s list for achieving a semester grade point average of 3.8 or higher.

Amelia Valladares, daughter of Julio Valladares and Mary Keefe of Mettacomett Path, was named a First Group Scholar and was named to the dean’s list at Smith College for the 2008–2009 school year. The dean’s list at Smith recognizes students with grade-point averages of 3.333 or above. First Group Scholars are further recognized for their particularly high level of achievement, and generally represent the top 10 percent of the class. Valladares graduated from Bromfield and is majoring in chemistry and music at Smith.
