Francis W. Parker Charter Essential School senior and Harvard resident Caleb Mayerson helped set up a new computer lab at the school. Since its move in 2000 to the Army’s former elementary school, Parker has struggled with severe overcrowding. This fall Parker purchased from the Wachusett Regional School District a 26,000-square-foot modular classroom building which Wachusett no longer needed. The modular building was disassembled at Wachusett, transported down I-190, and then reassembled at Parker. One of the many cost-saving measures the school took during the project was to use volunteer help of older students and parents to move.
