Baker, father of Harvard man
Kieran J. “Bud” Lowry Jr., 92, died peacefully at his home in Englewood, Fla., Sunday, Jan. 4, 2009. He was formerly of Lexington, and Center Harbor, N.H.
Bud was a baker and worked in a family business for many years. He also worked at Tufts University and at several resorts in Florida and New England.
He was an avid gardener and loved outdoor activities, including tennis, swimming, hiking, and camping. His pleasant disposition and sense of humor will be missed by all.
Bud is survived by two daughters, Mary Brande of Whispering Pines, N.C., and Kathy Lowry of Conway; three sons, Kieran J. Lowry III of Harvard, Joseph Lowry of Concord, N.H., and Dennis Lowry of Union, Conn.; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty, in 2004 after 64 years of marriage.
