Urges a vote for Johnson

October 30, 2009

I would like to express my strong support for Bill Johnson for Harvard Selectman. Bill has certainly earned my respect and vote.

While serving on the Planning Board, I have had the opportunity to get to know Bill as someone who is truly committed to and a strong advocate for the town of Harvard. As treasurer and project manager on the Bare Hill Pond Pump project, Bill’s leadership, business, and management skills, as well as a dedication to the project, were instrumental in its success. As a member of the FIAT committee Bill again demonstrated his ability to listen, evaluate, and offer conclusions that not only built a consensus but were in the best interest of the town and its future. On both efforts his enthusiasm, “can do” attitude, commitment, and ability to work cooperatively with individuals of all views gained him the respect of all those with whom he interacted.

Bill will add a much-needed dimension to the Board of Selectmen. He adds a proven ability to work with others and achieve results. He is a good listener (no matter which side of the issue you are on), effective problem solver, and one who is committed to improving communications, both within the board and with other town boards and committees.

The town needs a selectman of Bill’s caliber and I urge the citizens of Harvard to vote for Bill on Dec. 8.
