Fruitlands Museum announced in a press release issued Tuesday, July 5, that CEO Tim Firment would be leaving the organization. In the announcement, Board of Directors President Marie LeBlanc said, “We thank Tim for his service to Fruitlands. During his time here, his leadership and vision helped to advance the mission of the museum, which is to educate and inspire through the heritage, art, and nature of the region.”
The announcement did not specify when Firment would be leaving his post, although it said his departure was “upcoming.”
The Press tried to reach Firment for comment and more information, but he did not respond to our phone messages or e-mail as of press time. We reached LeBlanc by e-mail and asked when Firment would be leaving and whether he was taking another position somewhere. In her e-mail response she said, “At this time we are still in the process of working out the transition plan and timing and do not have any further details.”
According to Tuesday’s press release, the Fruitlands Board of Directors and Trustees will oversee the search for a new CEO.
