I’m proud to enthusiastically support Eve Wittenberg for the Harvard Select Board. Eve brings a rare combination of deep community knowledge, strategic thinking, and a proven track record of getting things done—exactly the kind of leadership we need right now.
I first met Eve two years ago when she became chair of the Conservation Commission, and we quickly found common ground in our shared commitment for land preservation and smart stewardship of Harvard’s open space. Her experience has prepared her for the Select Board, because she understands the interconnectedness of Harvard’s priorities—from open space to schools to affordable housing to town infrastructure. What has impressed me most is Eve’s ability to listen and build strong, respectful relationships with other boards, town staff, and residents. Eve doesn’t just talk about collaboration—she makes collaboration happen.
She has helped secure grant funding for town projects, brought organizations together to advance shared goals, and offered thoughtful, pragmatic leadership on complex issues. Having had some pointed discussions with Eve, I know that she will prioritize Harvard’s economic resilience, education for students from elementary school through high school, and environmental stewardship—all critical issues here in Harvard. Eve is creative, forward-thinking, and realistic about achieving goals.
