On Saturday, May 17, the Garden Club of Harvard held its annual plant sale at Westward Orchards. The plant tables were full, the weather cooperated, and when the gate opened at 9 a.m. we began welcoming hundreds of enthusiastic community members. As Garden Club members we share a passion for gardening, nature, sustainability, learning, and sharing whatever knowledge we can with the members of our community. We would like to express our thanks to you—our community members—for helping to make this year’s plant sale such a success and so much fun. In addition, a very important thank-you to our high school helpers for volunteering their time, and also to the Lions Club for expertly managing the flow of traffic through the parking lot during the sale. We couldn’t have done it without you.
We look forward to seeing everyone again at the next plant sale, but in the meantime enjoy the warm weather and happy gardening!
