The town is fortunate to have two strong candidates for Select Board. Both bring valuable experience and commitment to public service.
I am supporting Adam Wool because we need new perspectives. Relying on the same volunteers with the same approaches will likely lead to the same outcomes—higher taxes, flat-lined services, and no plan to address our structural deficit.
Adam brings something different. From his decade of service in the Alaska House of Representatives, he has experience grappling with serious fiscal challenges including budget shortfalls and structural deficits. He knows how to navigate tough decisions, balance competing priorities, and work collaboratively on long-term solutions.
We need that now. As we’ve already seen with new Select Board member Ahmet Corapcioglu, a fresh voice can change the conversation, challenge assumptions, and spark innovative ideas. Adam has the experience and perspective to complement that kind of leadership and to help build a sustainable vision for our town’s future.
Please support Adam on Oct. 8.
